I was thinking of just buying "Chasing Liberty" instead
of renting it. I haven't seen the movie yet so I'm not sure how big
a role Jeremy has in it. Is it worth buying???

i'm current working on the crew of entourage, and i'd have to say
that Jeremy is probably the funniest, most likeable actor i have ever
been around. the whole crew stops when he is acting, because you never
know what the hell he's going to do...and it's often just funny as
****.

I think that Jeremy would be fantastic in a murder mystery/caper movie
(like an updated CLUE or something like that)

Wow - saw Jeremy last night in Very Bad Things and really clocked
him. That towel or what? The trouble is, having looked at some of
his photos, do people mistake him for Kevin Spacey?!

Please can we refrain from making derogatory comments about Jeremy's
personal life. This guestbook should not be a means to call others
offending names. I have removed the post in question. Thanks.

In answer to Colin: I really respect your job and know the effort
it takes to write a good script. But keep in mind that there are several
ways of conceiving the ensemble work for a movie. I know each director
has his own method which says how much weigh each element has in the
end. If you see for example Fellini's movie first you ask how could
the script writer do such an excellent job. then you'll find out Fellini
has never written a word actually, though he's got the credits for
screenwriter but in this case it's because he created the story. If
you watch a Kubrick one you know there improvisation is out of question,
nothing happens for insance in his universe. So between these two
extremes the work of a screenwriter, the improvisation chances for
actors, the power of a director over the overall project, shift so
much... Probably Jeremy thinks improvisation often resulted a good
thing in the comedies he's done.

I have been a big fan of Jeremy's for years. I think he has that cavalier
kind of charm that Bill Murray did in his early work. As a writer
in Hollywood, I recently had to go back and go over "PCU"
for research on a college comedy I'm now working on to get a feel.
When I heard Jeremy's commentary I lost all respect for him.
He spent 90 minutes relentlessly whining about how director Hart Bochner wouldn't allow him to improv his lines. Well, if Jeremy can in a split second come up with better words than people who worked on them for months can then perhaps he missed his true calling. Also, if he's that funny why couldn't he manage anything funny to say in the commentary?
If actors don't feel a film is written well then they shouldn't do
them. Period. Great improv on film is like lightning in a bottle and
just as rare. That's why you trust the writer. Anything else is usually
arrogance. In any case I felt terribly sad when I found out what a
whiney guy he turns out to be. Sorry. I still like his work.

I love his movies and I wish that he would play a bigger part in them.
He is a very talented man and I would like to know more about him.
Of course, his family was responsible for turning out many great actors
like Joan and John Cusack. And although John Cusack has a film production
company with his other friend Steve Pink- I totally think that John
should collaberate more with Jeremy.

All I know is, whenever I see a movie that features Mr. Piven, I have
to stop and watch it. Doesn't matter if I've missed half the movie,
I will stay and pray for him to appear again. Consequently, my wife
thinks I have an...unhealthy fascination with the man, but seeing
as how this is the first time I've ever publicly commented on the
guy, I'd say she's a little off-base.
He simply has that almost indefinable, positive energy/handsome-but-not-overly-so/good
guy vibe, and I respond to that. I never knew that he and John Cusack
were friends...and that's only fitting, since they both occupy a place
in my mind, along with people like Dreyfuss and O'Toole, of being
a cut above all others. And the key is in the way these actors make
it look so **** easy, and fun, as well.
I'm rambling now, but the point is made: Jeremy Piven is criminally
underrated. God love him.

Seen new pix page, snapshots form Heat? So what do you think of Jeremy's
moustache version? Ain't he hot? In that scene he's face to face with
Robert DeNiro who requests him to exchange their shirt, his own being
blood-stained...
